"Eating Rice is completely your choice."
This is available 365 days to our locality. You can make this food according to your taste choice. You can make it salty, sweet, sour etc. In the last blog, I have explained different varieties of rice. Here I will explain four different forms of rice. The speciality of Rice forms is easy to digest and healthy. Rice can be found in different forms such as rice, flattened rice (also known as chuda or chiwda), puffed rice (also know as mudhi or muri or laiyya or pori ), Rice flour.
I know the detail of "how to make" any dishes is surely available in youtube and google pages but I am trying to represent the different forms of rice with photos and give you some idea,
Rice -
The common form of consuming this form is by boiling in water until it is edible.
This form of rice is mixed with many flavours and prepared delicious dishes such as - lemon rice, tomato rice, tamarind rice, fried rice, pulao, biryani and other different forms of variety.
The common ingredients to make lemon rice, tomato rice, tamarind rice are oil, onion, salt, turmeric powder(optional), boiled rice and the special ingredients are lemon juice, tomato puree, tamarind juice respectively.
In Fried rice and pulao, you can use different vegetables to make it more healthy. The common difference between these two dishes are fried rice is fried pre-cooked rice but pulao is water absorbed rice with little use of vegetables. For biryani, the process is quite lengthy. You can get the detail of the recipe from YouTube videos.
Flattened Rice-
This rice is also called as chuda in Odia and chiwda Hindi. How to make this rice form at home? This is organically available in the market but it can be prepared at home. The process is - boil the rice, then flattened those boiled rice and dried those flattened boiled rice. It is easy to say but it needs time and patience to make.
The famous dish using chuda is poha or pohay. This dish is originated from Maharashtra. This dish is a bit spicy but tasty. Chuda is rich in fibres. If you have diarrhoea problem then doctors recommend eating smashed boiled chuda and banana.
puffed rice-
This is my personal favourite to eat anytime. To make this, you need to fry parboiled rice with heated salt(easy to say but it needs practise to make this rice form). It is very light and you can make flour of this form. Puffed rice flour can be eaten with a mixture of water and some sugar. It is very healthy for children. The famous dish you must have eaten is Jhaal mudhi.
Rice flour-
To make this, you just need to grind rice. You can use this in different other dishes to bring out crispiness. In pakoda and different types of bhaji, rice flour is used.
These above rice forms are healthy and far far better than junk foods.
